Our Breeding Philosophy
HEALTH - TEMPERAMENT - CONFORMATION
Hello, I'm Kim & I'm passionate about Biewer Terriers. My focus is healthy, conformationally correct pets & potential show prospects with outstanding temperaments.
What sets us apart?
When selecting our breeding dogs, we look at the whole picture; temperament, structure, health & pedigrees. Our goal is to better the breed, one litter at a time.
Our breeding dogs are genetic and OFA tested. Our male, Mega Pint, is tested above OFA/CHIC recommendations for the breed and has his CHIC number.
Our puppies are raised intentionally with Puppy Culture, a puppy curriculum that teaches breeders and puppy owners how to raise puppies from birth through the critical socialization period.
We discovered the Biewer Terrier breed in 2019, while searching for a Yorkshire Terrier puppy. Their tri color appearance and breed description captured our attention. After researching the breed for almost two years, we added Pixie & Trixie to our family in hopes that they would one day become the foundation to our small, in-home Biewer Terrier breeding program. While neither ended up meeting our stringent health criteria for breeding, Pixie & Trixie made us fall in love with the Biewer Terrier breed. These tenacious little pint sized terriers stole our hearts. When searching for our foundation male, we found Heavenly Heirlooms Biewer Terriers in Texas. We purchased our male, Mega Pint from Karen & Tom Clement and can not recommend them enough. They were wonderful to work with and have spectacular dogs. Meg has passed all of his health testing, has earned his IABCA International Championship and is the sweetest lapdog that ever existed. Next we added Lassy to our family. Her sweet little sassy self makes friends everywhere she goes. Her breeder, Kathleen, at Ohio River Biewer Terriers, was also great to work with and has since become a good friend. We are excited about what the future holds for Half Pint Biewer Terriers and invite you to follow us on this journey.
